Panettone is a leavened bread, but the way we eat it is more like a cake. The sourdough base is incredibly rich, fortified with eggs, sugar, butter and dried fruit.
BATTISTERO – The name is inspired by the monument symbol of Parma, which stood right next to the original oven, where they prepared the typical bread of the city and the first delicious desserts.
Battistero’s Panettone is great on it’s own and enjoyed for breakfast, dessert or anywhere in between. Try it toasted with some butter, or get creative and use it as a substitute when making french toast…the ideas are endless

Panettone keeps far longer than other breads or cakes. For a classic panettone the shelf life might well be 4-6 months, making it a perfect breaded treat for all year round!
