White Sony PS3 Gets pre-Xmas Release Date

The white Sony Playstation 3 is set to be one of this year’s must-have Christmas items after Sony confirmed the special edition console will go on sale in the UK from the start of November – just in time for the pre Christmas shopping rush.

Set to be offered exclusively through retailer GameStop, the 320GB white Sony PS3 will arrive on UK shores on November 1 with a price tag of £249.97 – only slightly more than the current black system.

Asides from its white casing and two white controllers, the console is the same as its black-hued counterpart. However, Sony expects it to generate huge interest in the same way Apple did with the iPhone 4.

With Chrsitmas fast approaching, the white PS3 will go head-to-head with the Nintendo 3DS and the Xbox 360 with Kinect in the battle to be crowned this year’s number Xmas gaming present.

Pre-orders with GameStop are open now, and are advised if you want to guarantee a white PS3 under your Christmas tree this year.
