The Toy Retailers Association has announced its list of the dozen toys it expects to top the sale charts in the run-up to Christmas 2011.
This years items include a mixture of electronic toys and more traditional children's favourites, with prices ranging from £19.99 to £80.99.
Among them are a dog that defecates and a doll that lives in a hydration tank to stay constantly moisturised, as well as favourites such as Fireman Sam, Elmo and a Nerf gun the Vortex Nitron Blaster.
Other items predicted to be best-sellers include Fijit Friends, a fluffy interactive rabbit toy that reacts when it is cuddled, a light sabre and the LeapPad Explorer an interactive tablet aimed at four- to nine-year-olds.
