Justin Bieber To Switch On Westfield Xmas Lights

Tue, 25 Oct 2011
Teen pop sensation Justin Bieber will give his UK fans an early Christmas treat next month when he arrives in London to turn on the festive lights at the Westfield shopping centres.

Both the Shepherd’s Bush and new Stratford City centres will be hit by Bieber fever on Monday 7 November, with thousands of fans expected to turn up to see the 17-year-old switch on the Christmas lights and bring some festive cheer to London’s shoppers.

The young singer will appear on stage at The Atrium at Shepherd’s Bush to count his fans down to the switch-on before performing four of his hit singles, including new song Mistletoe from his upcoming Christmas album.

He will then make his way across the capital the new Westfield Stratford City to launch Christmas in the east end.

The Xmas lights switch-on at the outdoor Chestnut plaza will be celebrated with a dazzling fireworks display and performance of four more acoustic songs.

Michael Gutman, Westfield’s European MD, said: "We are incredibly excited that Justin Bieber is launching Christmas 2011 for Westfield London and Westfield Stratford City.

"We want to light up the capital and turn the world’s attention to London with Justin’s presence and make this an unforgettable event for his fans and our visitors."
