Doggie Doo Predicted To Be Xmas Toy Hit

Thu, 27 Oct 2011
A dog that poos out plasticine when you feed it is expected to be one of this year’s best selling Christmas toys .

The Toy Retailers Association (TRA) has revealed its Dream Dozen toys list for 2011, which includes products with "a technological twist", traditional kid’s favourites and some bizarre items such as the Doggie Doo.

The game features a sausage dog which passes yellow slimy faeces through its system. Players compete by rolling a dice to squeeze the goo out and seeing who can be the first to scoop three lots of the poop.

Bruno Gallone, from makers John Adams, said: "It has a naughty element which appeals to kids – they love having a dog that poos."

"It is something that parents usually hate and kids like but, in a lot of the reviews, we have had parents saying they bought it for their son or daughter and discovered they loved it themselves."

Other toys in the must have list include a fluffy interactive rabbit toy that reacts when it is cuddled, a Star Wars light sabre, a new Lego set, a doll that tells knock-knock jokes, and an interactive learning tablet for kids.
