Winter Wonderland Set To Light Up Hyde Park

Christmas has arrived in London’s Hyde Park with the opening of Winter Wonderland, a Christmas-themed event that has become a fixture on London's festive calendar.

Winter Wonderland, which last year attracted more than 2 million visitors, is set across a large section of Hyde Park and features the biggest ice-rink in London, a 100-stall Christmas market and a 53-metre big wheel which gives spectacular views over central London .

This year’s event will also feature top shows including Zippos circus and Room on the Broom, a puppet show based on the popular children's book.

Visitors looking to grab a bite to eat will be able to enjoy a wide range of festive and hot food, while drinks and food will also be available from the E-Cube bar.

Winter Wonderland will kick off tonight, Friday 19 November, from 4pm until 10pm. Opening hours from tomorrow onwards will be 10am-10pm every day until 4 January 2011. Entry is free buy visitors will have to pay for attractions such as ice skating .
