Rihanna Lights Up Christmas Decorations At Westfield London

Fri, 05 Nov 2010
Pop superstar Rhianna helped get shoppers in London in the festive spirit yesterday by turning on the Christmas lights at the Westfield Shopping Centre in Shepard’s Bush.

The 22-year-old diva was joined on a rose-covered stage by a group of children from the Help A London Child charity as she counted down to illuminate the shopping centre, before giving a special performance to 100 lucky fans.

The event marked the official launch of the festive season for Westfield London, which is one of the largest shopping centres in Europe with more than 265 shops.

Rhianna said: "I'm very excited to be in London, and surprised that so many people have turned out to see me. I love London, maybe one day I'd like to have a home here."

She also had a Christmas message for the thousands of people who turned up to catch a glimpse of the red head. "I hope you all get the gifts you want, and make sure Loud (her new album) is on your Christmas list " she said.

Rihanna has sold more than 25 million records worldwide and her fifth studio album, Loud, is predicted to be one of this year’s biggest hits.
