The UKs biggest home-grown Christmas tree has arrived at a garden centre in Edinburgh .
The 23m high Sitka Spruce was cut down in Northumberland's Kielder Forest in readiness for its journey to Dobbies Garden World. The action was captured by cameras strapped to the tree.
After transporting it by articulated lorry, it was then erected in Dobbies centre by a specialist rigging team with the help of a 90ft crane.
As well as being 75ft in length, the home-grown Xmas tree is also some 30ft wide and weighs a whopping five tonnes.
The owners of the Edinburgh garden centre are claiming a 2010 record, having beaten their closest rival, which stands above Millennium Plain in Norwich, by 5ft.
The tallest Christmas tree on show in Britain is normally the one in Londons Trafalgar Square, which is typically around 80ft tall. However, the festive tree is grown in Norway and gifted by the city of Oslo .
