Online retail giant Amazon.co.uk has announced it is to offer free delivery on all products, except gift certificates, in the run up to Christmas .
Between now and January 1 2010, Amazon shoppers will be able to ship items purchased directly from the website to a UK address free of charge.
Previously customers had to spend at least £5 on a product to be eligible for the companys free Super Saver Delivery.
Announcing the move, Brian McBride, managing director of Amazon UK, said: "Christmas is coming and so it's the perfect time to offer customers free shipping on every item available from Amazon.co.uk."
"Whether it's jewellery or juicers, toys or toasters, Christmas trees or DVDs - every product, no matter how big or small, can be delivered for free this festive season ."
Free delivery orders made under the Super Saver Delivery option will take three to five working days to arrive.
