Pop star George Michael is to give his fans a Christmas gift by allowing them to download his latest single for free.
The new track, titled December Song (I Dreamed of Christmas), will be available to download from his website Georgemichael.com - and other online digital stores on Christmas Day .
It is Michael's first Christmas-themed song since Wham's 1984 classic Last Christmas, which went on to become a global festive favourite.
The new single, produced by the singer and co-written with his friend David Austin, was played on radio for the first time yesterday.
The song was originally promised to fans on the final night of the star's UK sell-out concerts in August, billed as his "last arena shows in the UK", in August.
He revealed the song had been recorded for the US TV show Eli Stone, which he has a recurring cameo role in.
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Whams Last Christmas was the most-played festive song on UK radio over the last five years.
