Games consoles are this years most sought after Christmas gift among Britains teenagers, a new poll has revealed.
A survey of 4,540 teens carried out by virtual world Habbo found that the majority (39 per cent) asked Santa for a console or computer .
In a distant second place was a mobile phone, requested by 14 per cent of teens, followed by clothes and accessories in third with 13 per cent.
Microsoft's Xbox 360 was the most desired games console from those polled, picking up 20 per cent of the vote, followed by the Nintendo Wii (19 per cent) and Sonys PlayStation 3 (15 per cent).
Surprisingly, handheld consoles failed to match the craving for the bigger consoles among those aged 11-18, with the Nintendo DS and Sony PSP claiming just 2 per cent and 1 per cent of the vote respectively.
